Fettuccine Alfredo, originating in Italy, was initially cooked in a simple way, using butter and Parmesan cheese with pasta, where the starch and protein combined to create a thick sauce. However, after spreading from Italy to the United States, the Italian cream sauce evolved from its original simple ingredients into the modern Fettuccine Alfredo made with rich cream and herbs. For the easiest pasta recipe to prepare, Fettuccine Alfredo is undoubtedly the one, requiring only four ingredients! It's a dish that even cooking novices can easily master!
Ingredients (for three people)
- 250g wide noodles
- 1 cup of thick cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese shreds
- Salt and pepper to taste
practice:
- Add water and salt to a soup pot , bring to a boil over medium heat, then add the wide noodles and cook until done. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the sauce in a deep skillet by adding heavy cream and butter and heating over medium-low heat; stir well and then add shredded Parmesan cheese.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste, then add the pasta and a little pasta water.
- Mix well and it's ready. You can garnish with a little Parmesan cheese shreds when serving.
